Collision monitoring in the Test Run mode of
operation
Application
With this feature you can test for collisions before actual machining.
Prerequisites
Conducting a collision test

Select the Test Run operating mode
U
Select the program that you want to check for collision
U
Select the screen layout PROGRAM+KINEMATICS or
KINEMATICS
U
Shift the soft-key row twice
U
Set the collision testing to ON
U
Shift the soft-key row back twice
U
Start the test run
You can switch between the various views via soft key:
Mouse operation: (see “Graphic depiction of the protected space
(FCL4 function)” on page 351)
The graphic simulation testing must be enabled by your
machine tool builder in order to run.
You specify the datum for the collision test in the
“workpiece blank in working space” function (see
“Showing the Workpiece in the Working Space” on page
573)!
