Operation
Menu Mode
The menu has 4 menu choices and an exit button:
Press ‘Exit’ when you want to leave the menu and return to the previous button page.
Software Versions
Press the ‘Software Versions’ button to view the software and firmware versions:
The 3 buttons on the left tell you the current versions of the software in the NV9642. Generally,
this is of no relevance unless you are in a diagnostic situation.
Press ‘Exit’ on the right to return to the menu.
User
Press the ‘User’ button to view user data:
The 2 buttons on the left tell you the user name and user ID as determined by the router control
system. These are not the Windows user name or ID.
User names are important in lock, protect, and release situations. The user who “owns” a lock
or protect is identified by a user name.
Press ‘Exit’ on the right to return to the menu.
Panel
Press the ‘Panel’ button to view panel data:
The 5 buttons on the left tell you the panel ID, and other useful information about the panel, in
particular, the panel’s IP address. These are useful in a diagnostic situation. This information
helps you ensure that you are sending the correct configuration file to the correct panel.
The panel acquires its IP address through DHCP on the system controller’s panel/router
network. (You can use the Panel IP Configuration Utility to change panels to have static IP
addresses.)
