Reference Modules

Reference Modules

The REFERENCE area of the Kaleido-MX (3RU) rear panel exposes one
connector associated with the VDA-1002 card (slot 9), and four
connectors associated with an optional REF-1801 card (slot 10, if present).

GPI I/O Modules

A GPI-1501 module supports 20 GPI inputs, and 8 configurable GPI
input/output terminals. The pinout of the associated DB-44 connectors
(labelled GPI-I/O SLOT 1, and GPI-I/O SLOT 2), is as follows:

LTC IN

Time code input. To use this LTC input,
you must first configure the REF-1801
card’s time code source and processing
options. Refer to the REF-1801 Guide to
Installation and Operation
(available on
the Kaleido-X DVD that shipped with
your system, and from the
Documentation Library section of Grass
Valley’s website), for more information.
