Chapter 3 Servicing the K2 Lx0 RAID
To install a disk module:
1. Open the lever of the disk module, as demonstrated in “Removing a disk module”
on page 40 .
2. Insert the drive in the unit.
3. Insert the drive as shown in the following diagram.
4. Close the lever all the way.
The disk spins up automatically upon installation and, if the inserted disk is a
replacement for a failed drive in a bound LUN, data recovery begins.
Refer to “Interpreting controller status LEDs” on page 35 for disk module LED
status during rebuild. Afterward, check disk module status using NetCentral or the
Grass Valley Storage Utility.
