Installing IC-USB
This appendix provides instructions on installing the IC-USB device.
Key Concepts
IC-USB
The IC-USB device is a USB-to-RS-422 converter. It is used to establish communication between your PC or
laptop, and serial devices such as the Quartet 2 and Symphonie Miranda Imaging Series housing frames.
IC-USB Driver
The IC-USB driver is installed automatically with the Miranda iControl Solo software. When you connect
the IC-USB device to your PC or laptop, Windows will automatically detect the new hardware and associate
it with the IC-USB driver.

Connecting the IC-USB Device to a PC or Laptop
To connect the converter to your PC or laptop:
1. Plug the Type A (flat) connector end of the USB cable into the USB port located in the back of your PC.
