Installation
CWDM Configuration
The 8935CF module can be used for CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division
Multiplexing) in various configurations in conjunction with 8939FCA
modules and 8935FC modules as well as other fiber-ready modules from
Grass Valley.
The optimum use of CWDM involves the ability to multiplex and demulti-
plex up to nine channels of video in as shown in the simple block diagram
in
Figure 13 .

When an 8935CF module is populated with CWDM submodules, a stan-
dard crossing duplex cable is required when connecting the 8935CF
modules to the 8939CFA modules.
Crossing is in reference to the logical A/B nomenclature associated with
the duplex connector illustrated in
Figure 14 where side 1A connects to
side 2B and side 1B connects to side 2A.
