Setting the LSDB overload bit
ISIS-SPB sets the overload bit in LSPs to notify its neighbors that it is experiencing an LSDB error condition
and cannot forward traffic correctly. During path calculation, ISIS-SPB does not choose a path as the
shortest path if the path includes the device that has the overload bit set.
You can set the LSDB overload bit when the device cannot record complete topology data in the LSDB for
memory insufficiency or any other problems.
To set the LSDB overload bit:
Step Command
Remarks

log-peer-change
By default, ISIS-SPB outputs adjacency changes to the
configuration terminal.
To display adjacency change messages on the terminal
screen, make sure the terminal logging and terminal
monitor commands are configured.
Configuring the group MAC address for ISIS-SPB
ISIS-SPB uses a group MAC address for ISIS-SPB peer-to-peer communication. This group MAC specifies
the destination MAC address for ISIS-SPB protocol frames. Vendors might use different group MAC
addresses. You can change the ISIS-SPB control MAC for interoperability in a multivendor network.
To configure the group MAC address for ISIS-SPB:
Step Command Remarks
1.
Enter system view.
system-view
N/A
2.
Enter SPBM view.

3.
Configure the group
MAC for ISIS-SPB.
control-address { all-cb | all-is |
all-l1-is | all-l2-is | all-pb }
The default group MAC for ISIS-SPB is
0180-C200-002E (all-pb).
