TTE - Net work State ments :

Net works for which the ap pa ra tus has con nec tion ap proval :
a) An a logue Base band con nec tion upto a rate of 1024kbps.
b) Dig i tal X.21 con nec tion up to a max i mum rate of 1024kbps.
c) Dig i tal V.35 con nec tion up to a max i mum rate of 1024kbps.
d) Dig i tal X.21bis (V.24) con nec tion up to a max i mum rate of 19.2kbps.
e) Dig i tal V.36 con nec tion up to a max i mum rate of 1024kbps.

The ap pa ra tus may be di rectly con nected to a 2 or 4 wire base band cir cuit or con nected to a rel e vant branch
sys tem for 2 or 4 wire base band cir cuits.

If any other ap pa ra tus, in clud ing ca ble or wir ing, is to be con nected be tween the ap pa ra tus and the point of
con nec tion to any base band cir cuit, then all that other ap pa ra tus shall com ply with the fol low ing :

(1) The over all trans mis sion char ac ter is tics of all that other ap pa ra tus shall be such as to in tro duce
no ma te rial ef fect upon the elec tri cal con di tions pre sented to one an other by the ap pa ra tus and the
base band cir cuit;
(2) All that other ap pa ra tus shall com prise only

(a)

ap pa ra tus ap proved for the pur pose of con nec tion be tween the ap pa ra tus and a

base band cir cuit; and

(b)

ca ble or wir ing com ply ing with a code of prac tice for the in stal la tion of equip ment,

or such other re quire ments as may be ap pli ca ble.

NOTE : Such ap pa ra tus may have been sub ject to lim i ta tions on its use.

(3) The BBM is not suit able for use on cir cuits with Brit ish Tele com mu ni ca tions sig nal ling at a nom i nal
fre quency of 2280 Hz.

(4) The BBM does not re quire DC from the Pri vate Cir cuit for cor rect op er a tion. The BBM may be dam aged if
con nected to a cir cuit sup ply ing dc cur rent (the max i mum permissable dc cur rent is 6mA).

(5) The BBM is suit able for house hold, of fice and sim i lar gen eral in door use.

IN TER NA TIONAL MODELS

Mod i fi ca tions to line cords and power sup ply leads are avail able for coun try spe cific re quire ments. In such
cases, line cord pin outs may be dif fer ent.
