Chapter 6 Telnet & RS-232 Configuration
Boarder Gateway 5800 also can support to be managed by
Telnet or Console port (RS-232) for basic operations.
Interface:
Network: TCP/IP Telnet (e.g. telnet 192.168.111.161
10086)
RS232:
- Connect using: COM1
- Baud Rate: 9600
- Data bits: 8
- Parity: None
- Stop bits: 1
- Flow Control: None
- Wire: Null modem line (crossed)
Logon Boarder Gateway 5800 by Telnet
Use Windows build-in Hyper Terminal or other telnet termi-
nal emulator to login (e.g. telnet 192.168.67.1:10086). User ID &
password will be required for login (default login user id: admin,
password: admin & user id: root, password: root).
