Open the camera’s card and port cover, and insert
the card all the way into the slot, as shown. Make
sure the card’s label faces the front of the camera.

Close the card and port cover.
Note:
For instructions on removing CompactFlash Cards, see
“Removing a CompactFlash Card” on page 5-1.
Installing Batteries
Before installing the batteries, be sure to read the
safety instructions on page 2. Then follow these steps.
1.
Make sure the camera is turned off. The camera is
off when the lens cover switch is down.
2.
Orient the camera upside down with the front of
the camera facing you.
3.
To open the battery cover, push it down and to
the right. Then raise the cover.
4.
Insert all four batteries into the compartment,
positioning the + and – ends as shown.
