Saving Battery Power with Auto Shut-Off

To save battery power, the camera automatically turns
off after a certain period of time. When the LCD
monitor is on, the camera turns off when idle for 30
seconds; when the monitor is off, the camera turns off
when idle for 60 seconds.

To turn the camera back on, press the

SELECT

or

BACK

button, or use the lens cover switch to turn the

camera off and back on again.

Checking the Status of the Camera

The display panel shows the current camera settings
and the status of your battery power.

Battery power
When your battery power is running low, the

low battery icon appears. This icon flashes

when your battery power is completely out.

Picture counter
The number in the upper right corner of the
display panel shows how many pictures you can
take.

Making the image quality setting

Press the

image quality button on top of the camera

to cycle from one setting to the other. You can select
from these image quality settings.
