The smart heating function can be used with the
following variants:
n
Hybrid heat pump
n
Split air/water heat pump
either with or without solar heat, in each case.
Electrical connection of the heat pump
In order for the heat pump to be able to use the PV
power, the heat pump must be connected to the
same electrical connection as the PV plant. The
following connection variants are possible:
n
Connection of the heat pump to the household
electricity meter. The use heat pump power tar-
iffs is then not possible.
n
Connection of the heat pump to an electricity
meter with a heat pump power tariff. Feed-in of
the PV power via the household electricity con-
nection. The use of PV electricity by the heat
pump is then not possible, heat pump gradu-
ated tariffs can be used. However, it is possible
to switch over the heat pump at a later time.
Connection of the controller to the electricity
meters and inverter
In order to measure the output of the PV plant,
household electricity and heat pump, the controller
requires a connection to the electricity meters and
to the inverter of the PV plant. The controller uses
S0 interfaces for this purpose. Many electronic
power meters and many inverters already come
with such an interface integrated. In case no suit-
able units are installed or usable, reasonably-
priced meters can be purchased privately and
fitted.
