3.1
Introduction
Information in this section consists of the functional and operational procedures for the
STX100-000 Globalstar
™
Satphone Transceiver.
3.2
Operation Specifics
The STX100-000 Globalstar
TM
Satphone Transceiver has no normal user
operational aspects.
All operational functions of the STX100-000 Globalstar
™
Satphone Transceiver are
controlled by the NAT PTA12 POTS Telephone Adapter, and/or a standard 2-wire
aviation handset. Complete information for the PTA12 can be found in the PTA12
Operator’s manual.
Additionally, the STX100-000 can be controlled by the LMC01 Latitude Mobile
Controller, which is used to provide asset management and positioning capability (e.g.,
flight following). The LMC01 is a remote mounted unit, and connects to the data port on
the STX100-000. The LMC01 is optional, and is set-up at time of installation to operate
automatically. Refer to the LMC/LMC01 Users Manual for more information.
