Following completion of the Voice tests, connect a laptop computer to the data
port on the STX100-000 (this assumes the data port connections are accessible
and allow for easy connection to the laptop).
b)
Using a terminal emulator program (i.e. HyperTerminal, TerraTerm, etc.) with the
serial port correctly set to communicate with the STX100-000 (19,200 baud, 8
Bit, 1 Stop Bit, No Parity), type AT
STX100-000, verifying the data port wiring is correct and that you can
communicate with the internal modem of the STX100-000.
Once you have verified connection with the modem, you can test the PPP connection
using TCP/IP. Confirm you have correctly set the modem and dial-up networking
connections, and that you have a working ISP before proceeding with the test.
