7.4 Battery Replacement
Use the following procedure to replace the batteries:
1. Turn the On/Off Switch to the OFF position.
2. Unplug the unit from the power converter.
3. Remove the bottom cover plate by removing the four screws securing it to the unit.
4. Remove and discard the used batteries.
5. Insert 6 AA alkaline replacement batteries, observing proper polarity.
Use only Alkaline batteries to ensure operation of
the unit.
6. Replace and secure the bottom cover plate using the screws removed in Step 3.
7.5 Lamp Replacement
Use the following procedure to replace the lamp.
1. Turn the On/Off Switch to the OFF position.
2. Unplug the unit from the power converter.
3. Remove the bottom cover plate by removing the four screws securing it to the unit.
4. Remove the two screws on the lamp circuit board.
5. Remove and discard the used lamp.
6. Install the new lamp.
7. After soldering the new lamp in place, trim the excess leads from the lamp on the bottom side of the
board.
8. Replace and secure the lamp circuit board using the screws removed in Step 4.
9. Replace and secure the bottom cover plate using the screws removed in Step 3.
