PERATION
The RSU-5060 is designed to provide single-point control for both the Tx and Rx transfer
switches (Waveguide Switches). In addition, the RSU-5060 provides the customer with a single
interface connection to his M&C system. Through this interface the customer can access and
control all configuration, monitor and faults status parameters of both CSAT’s. The RSU-5060 is
a ‘smart box,’ the unit contains a microcontroller running algorithms to process status and
command information from the two CSAT’s and control the Tx and Rx waveguide switches
accordingly. A functional block diagram of the RSU-5060 is shown in Figure B-2.
