About this Manual
This manual provides installation and operation information, functional capabilities,
and performance specifications for the Comtech EF Data (CEFD) CMR-5950 Digicast
Inline Scrambler (IS). This publication additionally provides information on how to
connect the CMR-5950 – referred to throughout this manual as “the IS” – to other data
transport equipment.
This is a technical document intended for earth station engineers, technicians, and
operators responsible for the operation and maintenance of the IS.
