Power connection
1. Make sure the printer is turned off.
2. Check the label on the back of the printer to make sure its voltage matches
that of the electrical outlet. Also make sure that the plug on your printer’s
power cord matches your electrical outlet.
3. If the power cord is not attached to the printer, plug the appropriate end into
the AC inlet on the back of the printer.
4. Plug the power cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet.
Running the self test
You can print the self test using either single sheets or continuous paper. In
addition, you can load the printing paper from the four different positions of
rear-in, front-in, top-in or bottom-in. Next we will describe the process of
running self test by using cut sheet and loading paper from the top. Please see
Chapter of “Operating the Printer” for instructions on paper handling.
1. Turn off the printer, and push the path selection lever to the friction position.
If the rated voltage and your outlet voltage do not match,
contact your dealer for assistance. Do not plug in the
power cord.
