Making and Answering Calls
The specific call signal with which your telephone rings indicates the
type of call:
• When you receive an internal call, your telephone rings once
every four seconds (single-tone sequence).
• When you receive an external call, your telephone rings twice in
rapid succession every four seconds (dual-tone sequence).
• When you receive a call from the entrance telephone, your tele-
phone rings three times in rapid succession every four seconds
(triple-tone sequence).
• If a call is waiting, you hear a short tone (beep) every six seconds.
The number or the name of the caller appears on the display.
Answering a Call With the Handset
The telephone rings. The caller appears on the screen.
Lift the handset.
or or or or Raise or lower the volume. Keep pressing the key until the desired vol-
ume is set.
Ending the call:
Replace the handset.

Answering a Call with the Speaker
(Speakerphone Mode and Open
Listening)
The telephone rings. The caller appears on the screen.
Press the key. The LED lights up.
