Cleaning the Heat Deflector
The heat deflector will collect grease and food residuals.
It should be removed and cleaned after every use.
When removing the heat deflector, use care to avoid
chipping its ceramic surface. Wash with a mild cleaner/
degreaser, rinse and dry. Make sure the heat deflector is
fully inserted back in its position before using the grill.

Cleaning Firebox Bottom
Before you put back the grill burners in step 9 of Cleaning
the Grill Burners, look to see if you have an accumulation
of carbon and burnt food on the bottom. If so, use a spatula
or scraper and push all the carbon to the front and into the
drip pan to collect and dispose.
Replacement of the igniter battery with a new fully
charged battery ensures good working order of the spark
igniter design. Place 9 V. battery in cover as shown 1
then, screw the cover with battery into the igniter 2.
