Set both oscillators to -20 dBFS.
5.
Set the
music system threshold input
control to 0.
6.
Raise and lower the
auto mix weight
control for channel 1.
At 0 and above, the gain will be full and stay full. Below 0, gain will be reduced
progressively as the knob is rotated counter-clockwise. Return the knob to 0.
7.
Move the oscillator from channel 1 to channel 2, 3, etc. and repeat the process
for each channel.
8.
Test the
music system threshold input
B and C with the inputs switched to
groups b
and
c
.
9.
Switch all channels back to speech mode by de-activating the
music system
button and select
group a
.
To test Dugan Gain Limiting:
1.
Activate the
NOM
function for all eight channels.
2.
Set the
NOM gain limit (group a)
control to 1.
3.
Switch the channels one by one to manual mode.
Observe the
master gain limiting
display. You will see 3 dB for two inputs, 6
dB for four inputs, and 9 dB for eight inputs.
4.
Rotate the
NOM
gain limit
control clockwise, which should reduce this display
to 0.
5.
Return the
NOM
gain limit
control to 1, de-activate
NOM
on all eight channels,
and select
auto
using each
channel’s
preset
button.
