Connecting Input Signals
Note: if you are using the BLUAC5-Si drive in torque, velocity, SCL or Q Programming
modes, you should follow the connection instructions in the BLUAC5-S & -Q Hardware
Manual. The I/O information in this manual only provides information about connec-
tions used by Si programming applications.
The BLu-Si servo drives have three types of digital inputs:
• 5V differential, high speed inputs for encoder following (inputs X1 and X2)
• 12-24V single ended inputs for other signals (inputs X3-X7 and IN1 - IN6)
• 12-24V differential inputs (IN7 and IN8)
All 15 inputs are optically isolated.
IN/OUT 1
This DB-25 female connector includes seven digital inputs (X1 - X7). These inputs can be
used in your Si program for triggering, branching, moving to sensors, homing, encoder follow-
ing and end of travel limits.
IN/OUT 2
This DB-25 male connector includes eight digital inputs (IN1 - IN8). These inputs can be also
used in your Si program for triggering, branching, jogging, moving to sensors and homing.
