This display will be referred to throughout this document as the Default Display.
The User Interface Module (together with the drive bay, blower, power supply, and repeater
modules) provides the following enclosure monitoring and control capabilities:
1. Temperature sensor readings at the: drive bays, power supply modules, repeater
modules, blower modules, and the ambient temperature immediately outside of the
InfoStation
2. Power supply status
3. Blower module status
4. Buzzer enable/disable
5. Error status for drive bays, power supply modules, repeater modules, and blower
modules
6. Drive bay SCSI ID set-up
7. Drive bay spin-up options set-up
8. Start-up banner set-up
9. Temperature warning and critical levels set-up
10. Enclosure ID set-up
11. Serial Port set-up
12. Variable fan speed levels
13. SAF-TE SCSI ID set-up
Default Display Mode
After the InfoStation's start up sequence, the front panel display will show the temperature
inside the enclosure. Under normal operation, the display shows the average temperature
of the enclosure:
