Appendix D - Field-Replacing the Carrier Fan 25
1. Carefully uninstall drive (if still installed in carrier). Refer to section
"DE100i-SWC160 INSTALLATION" for further information.
2. To remove fan, loosen and remove the three (3) #6-32 Phillips Head screws
securing the fan bracket to the drive carrier (Figure D-1).
3. Carefully remove the fan bracket, making sure to disconnect the fan power
cable from the drive carrier.
4. Remove the faulty fan by removing the four (4) Philips Head screws securing
the fan to the fan bracket (Figure D-2).
5. To install new fan, simply reverse above mentioned steps.
