Other Handy Functions
4. Turn the Rotary knob 3 clockwise or coun-
terclockwise to set the illumination pattern.
Each time you turn the Rotary knob
3 , the
illumination pattern changes in the following
order:
“PATTERN 1” ➜ “PATTERN 2” ➜ “OFF” ➜
“PATTERN 1”...
● PATTERN 1:
The color changes for each function mode,
station tuning, scanning and other operations.
● PATTERN 2:
In addition to the changes in PATTERN 1, the
color changes according to the audio level.
● OFF:
The color changes according to the function
mode.
5. Pressing ENT button ( returns to the
adjustment selection display.
6. Press ADJ button & to return to the previous
mode.
Message display
When the unit is powered on or off, a message is
displayed. The user can turn this message
display ON or OFF.

The factory default setting is “ON”.
1. Press ADJ button & to switch to the
adjustment selection display.
2. Press the right or left side of SEARCH button
2 to select “MESSAGE”.
3. Press ENT button ( .
4. Tur n the Rotar y knob 3 clockwise or
counterclockwise to set message display ON
or OFF.
5. Pressing ENT button ( returns to the
adjustment selection display.
6. Press ADJ button & to return to the previous
mode.
Turning the non-fader output
adjustment display on/off
When not using the non-fader output, you can
put out the “NON-FADER VOL” display.

The factory default setting is “ON”.

Even if the level adjustment display is set to “OFF”,
signals can be output from the non-fader output.
1. Press ADJ button & to switch to the
adjustment selection display.
2. Press the right or left side of SEARCH button
2 to select “NON-FADER”.
3. Press ENT button ( .
4. Turn the Rotary knob 3 clockwise to set “ON”
or counterclockwise to set “OFF”.
● ON:
When you press A-M button % , the “NON-
FADER VOL” item is displayed.

The output level can be adjusted.
● OFF:
Even when you press A-M button % , the
“NON-FADER VOL” item is not displayed.

The output level cannot be adjusted.
5. Pressing ENT button ( returns to the
adjustment selection display.
6. Press ADJ button & to return to the previous
mode.
Triggered audio mute for cellular
telephones
This unit requires special wiring to mute the audio
signal automatically when a cellular telephone rings
in the car.

This function is not compatible with all cellular tele-
phones. Contact your local authorized Clarion
dealer for information on proper installation and
compatibility.
