ing Guidelines
When a component fails in a 6500 disk array, it is most often easily traced and
fixed. There are occasions, however, when the problem may not be so
straightforward, e.g., when unusual applications produce inconsistent results.
For the best results, use these tips to troubleshoot the array:
• Eliminate the obvious possibilities first (start with component exchange).
• Change only one item or setting at a time.
• Keep a log, or take notes on the progression of the problem.
• Record all error messages and status codes.
• If you can’t find a solution, contact your service provider.
