When starting scarification, lower the support rollers to the
relevant working height. Usually position 3. (Ulus. 1)
Position 3 = Maximum cutting depth (10 mm)
Position 2 = Minimum cutting depth (3 mm)
Position 1 =Transport position
PRIOR TO START
I
• Before starting the machine ensure that the blades are
not damaged. Ensure that the bearing housing, which
isolates the blades, is not damaged.
« Before using the machine you should always check that
the blades and other underchassis parts are not worn or
damaged. Change all blades at the same time to ensure
. the rotating parts are balanced.
STARTING
To start the machine:
• Press down on the handle in order to lift the
front of the machine up thus keeping the blades clear of
the lawn. (Ulus. 3)
« Press in the locking button on the switch body (2 illus. 1)
and press the trigger against the handle (1 illus. 1)andthe
blade shaft will rotate.
• Release the locking button. ■

OPERATING
° Raise the handle until the support roller at the
■ front of the machine is in contact with the'
ground.
«. Walk forward slowly. Adjust walking speed to the lawn’s
condition. Slower walking speed results in a higher cutting
rate. If you run into stones or suchlike then press the handle
down to to lift the blades clear of the ground.
» Handle the electric cable as in ¡llus. 4.
WARNING!
If an accident occurs feg: the
cable is pulled into the blade shaft then
release the switch trigger immediately:
pisGonneot the plug at the socket. Have the cable
repaired professionally or buy a new one. ,,,
STOPPING / TRANSPORTING
» Avoid frequent starting and stopping
° Release the switch trigger and disconnect the
machine from the socket if the machine is to be cleaned or
carried.

' o Always set theheight adjustment to transport position when
not in use.
« During transport the handle should be carefullyfolded up.
Ensure the cable is not damaged.
» Allow the motor to cool down before packing in a box or
crate.

STORAGE
Store the machine in a dry place. Prevent rusting by treating
