insert
lace
in
the
slot
next
to
needle
(Fig.

sew
hem
as
above,
guiding
lace
under
needle
and
hem
into
scroll.
Rickrack
may
be
used
in
the same way.

Insert
both
in
scroll
as
for
plain
narrow
hem
