Too much tension
Loosen tension on upper thread by turning
thread tension knob to lower number.
Starting with take up in
incorrect position
Always start sewing with take up lever in
highest position.
Improper setting of needle
Refer to needle setting instructions see
page No. 6.
Eye of needle to sharp i Try a new needle.
Bent or blunt needle
Tensions too tight
Dull needle
Discard all blunt or bent needles and re­
place with new.
See tensions adjustment page No. 12.
Change needle.
Stitch length too long
Reduce stitch length.
