THROAT PLATE
REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT
Throat plate in "Unlock” position for removaPand replacement.
TAKE-UP LEVER
MUST BE IN
LOWEST POSITION

Raise pressler bar. Turn hand wheel to drop
take-up lever to its lowest point. Set throat plate
lever to "'Unlock’’ position. This preparation
applies to both removal and replacement.
Remove throat plate by sliding it back.
Replace throat plate by sliding it on from the
rear.
Lock in position.
Presser foot need not be removed for this
operation.
