6.1.1 Hydraulic Plumbing
WARNING!
From this point in the installation
the booms will be inoperative
until the electronics are fully
installed.
When changing the boom
hydraulic hoses, leave the booms
in the TRANSPORT POSITION.
Sometimes the Nitro P and T
ports are different sizes.
Appropriate fitting have been
included in the adapter kit to
account for different sized ports.
1. After the NORAC valves are mounted,
the hydraulic hoses and fittings can be
plumbed. The plumbing for the hydraulic
circuit is shown schematically in Figure
24.
Do NOT remove the fittings
installed in the NORAC valve
block in Section 6.1. Any
adapting required must be done
after these components.
2. Remove the sprayer’s boom raise lines
from the cylinders and valve block. Use
the 8MBP plug (F09) to cap the
sprayer’s valve block where the two
hoses were removed.
3. Install an 8MOR-12FORX fitting (*F05)
where the left boom cylinder hose was
taken off the cylinder.
4. Connect the end of hose H08 with a 90
degree fitting onto the “B” port of the
NORAC valve block. Connect the
other end of line H08 to fitting *F05
on the left boom cylinder.
5. Install an 8MOR-12FORX fitting (*F05)
onto the tee fitting on the right boom
cylinder where the hose was removed.
6. Attach the 90 degree fitting from line
H06 to the “B” port on the NORAC
valve block.
7. Attach the other end of H06 to fitting
*F05 on the right boom cylinder.
8. Remove the pressure and tank hoses
from the Nitro valve block and insert
the 8FORXR-8MORT fitting (*F06) into
the Tank port.
Figure 24 is a single acting circuit.
If the sprayer’s circuit is double
acting, install the tee fitting
(*F06) between the valve block
and the existing fitting.
9. Attach a number 8 female union fitting
(*F07) to the tee fitting on the tank
port (*F06). Attach a number 8 female
orb (*F13) to *F07.
10. Attach hose H04 between fitting *F13
and the Tank port of the NORAC valve
block (V01).
11. Attach the existing Nitro tank line to
the remaining port on the tee fitting
*F06.
12. Install the 6FORXR-6MORT fitting
(*F10) into the Pressure port.
13. Install the number 6 female union
(*F03) onto the tee fitting (*F10) using
fitting *F11.
14. Install a 6MB-8FB adapter (*F04) into
the number 6 female union (*F03).
15. Attach the existing Nitro pressure line
to the remaining port on the tee fitting
*F10.
16. Install the free end of hose H04 into
the adapter fitting *F04. Attach the
other end to the Pressure port of the
NORAC valve block (V01).
