Submitting Jobs
After defining or creating a job the final step in constructing a CD is to
submit the job for production. During the production process the SCRIBE
EC uses the job as a guide or map for bringing together the various
elements of the CD (label, disc image, etc.) to print and record as needed.
The SCRIBE EC processes up to three different jobs simultaneously and
queues up to ten jobs awaiting production.
Submitting A Job
To submit a job for production:
• Complete the details on the Job manager tab as desired or load an
existing job file.
• Click the OK button at the bottom of the Creating new job ‘New Job’
window. The screen will now read:
The screen will now show the Job manager tab where the progress of jobs
submitted for production can be easily monitored. The Status tab is divided
into three panes. The top pane is the JOB QUEUE window which lists all
of the jobs waiting to be processed by displaying their assigned Job name,
type of job, image path, total number of requested CDs, their assigned
priority, as well as the names of their associated disc image and label files.
