INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the Brother FAX-50. This Owner’s Manual will help you derive the
fullest benefits from this new, exciting compact facsimile transceiver.
The Brother FAX-50 is a modern, compact desktop digital facsimile unit. Its performance is
compatible with CCITT Group 3. Since Group 3 (G3) units are the most widely used facsimile trans
ceivers, your new FAX-50 is compatible with most modern facsimile units in the world.
All of the Brother FAX-50 features can be easily learned by following step-by-step procedures
listed on the following pages. As you become familiar with the features and operation of the unit,
keep the Owner's Manual handy for quick references and reminders.
The Brother FAX-50 is a modern communications system which combines, in one desktop unit,
three communications devices:
