1. Lamp functions

The following explains the function of each lamp. More information about the lamps and the
various terms used here will be provided below when we discuss the actual operation of the unit.

The POWER Lamp lights up whenever the power is ON.

The ERROR Lamp lights up whenever an error occurs.
The AUTO ANSWER Lamp lights up when the unit is in the "auto receive" mode
The COPY Lamp lights up when you are making a copy

The FINE Lamp lights up when the unit is operating in the "fine" mode
The START Lamp lights up when the unit is preparing to transmit or receive
THE ORIGINAL READY Lamp lights up when the original document is inserted correctly into the
sending section of the unit.

The START Button

Press to start transmission or non-automatic reception

The COPY Button

press to copy a document

The FINE Button

press when transmitting a document which contains fine print,

photographs or other very detailed images
