3. To use chain dialing:
- Pick up the handset.
- Wait for dial tone.
- Press ”* N" where ”N" is a number (1 - 9) of the location of the telephone
number; the telephone number must have a "0" in front of the programmed
number.
- Wait for the automatic telephone operator to come on.
- When operator stops speaking press "* N" where "N" is now the location of the
credit card number.
Example of putting in a telephone number into memory.
Let us say we want to put the telephone number (516) 555-1212 into memory position 2:
1. Pick up the handset.
2. Press down the hook switch.
3. Dial (516) 555-1212.
4. Press"*2".
5. Put down the handset.
To perform memory dialing on above number:
1. Pick up the handset.
2. Wait for dial tone.
3. Dial"*2".
