Operation
How to make a drawdown:
• Place a test chart or other substrate material on the vacuum plate and
turn on the vacuum source or fix the sample on the glass plate.
• Position an appropriate applicator in front of the push bar.
• To keep wire rods from rotating, the additional “weight bar fixture” is
to be set over the pins of the “push bar”.
• The rubber strips will hold the wire rods in place.
• Face down the narrow spacing for 10 mm diameter rods and the wider
spacing for a ½ “ diameter rods.
• Please note an additional weight can also be used for other applicators
to guarantee a smooth drawdown.
• Apply an appropriate amount of coating in front of the applicator.
• Press the “Forward Button” and the drawdown will begin. At the end of
the travel, the applicator will stop automatically.
• Remove the applicator for cleaning and press the “Reverse Button”.
• Once the carriage has returned to the start position, remove the coated
substrate.
