6.11 IGNITION SWITCH OPEN DURING
IGNITION
1. Set the unit’s ON/OFF switch to the off
position. Place the unit in manual mode and
set the fire rate between 25% and 30%.
2. Remove the air/fuel valve cover (Fig. 6.8) by
rotating the cover counterclockwise to
unlock it then pulling it towards you.
3. Disconnect one of the two wires from the
ignition position switch (Fig. 6.7) and start
the unit.
4. The unit should begin to start then shut
down and display IGN SWITCH OPEN
DURING IGNITION.
5. Replace the wire on the ignition switch and
depress the CLEAR button. The unit should
restart.

TEST
Test the Safety Pressure Relief Valve in
accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure
Vessel Code, Section VI.
