CHAPTER 7 MAINTENANCE
7.1 MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
The unit requires regular routine maintenance to
keep up efficiency and reliability. For best
operation and life of the unit, the following
routine maintenance procedures should be
performed in the time periods specified in Table
7-1. See Appendix I for a complete CSD-1
inspection check list.
In order to perform the maintenance tasks
specified in Table 7-1, the following
maintenance kits are available through your
local AERCO Sales Representative:
• Annual Maintenance Kit, Part No. 58025-01
• 24-Month
Waterside/Fireside
Inspection
Kit,
Part No. 58025-05 (See NOTE below)
NOTE
The 24-Month Waterside/Fireside Inspec-
tion Kit also includes the items contained
in the Annual Maintenance Kit. Therefore,
only Kit Part No. 58025-05 is required
when performing the waterside/fireside
inspections.
Appendix K contains recommended spare parts
lists for maintenance of the boiler.

TO AVOID PERSONAL INJURY,
PRIOR TO SERVICING ENSURE
THAT THE FOLLOWING GUIDE-
LINES ARE STRICTLY OBSERVED:
• DISCONNECT THE AC SUPPLY BY
TURNING OFF THE SERVICE
SWITCH AND AC SUPPLY CIRCUIT
BREAKER.
• SHUT OFF THE GAS SUPPLY AT
THE MANUAL SHUT-OFF VALVE
PROVIDED WITH THE UNIT
• ALLOW THE UNIT TO COOL TO A
SAFE WATER TEMPERATURE TO
PREVENT BURNING OR SCALDING
