5 Operation of the NucleoCounter

5.1
Ready mode
Once the NucleoCounter
®
NC-
3000™ and the NucleoView NC-3000™ are ready,
analysis can begin. On the session tab in the NucleoView NC-
3000™ software, the
browse menu can be used to select the analysis (protocol) to be performed. Once
selected, the keys on the front of the instrument (see Figure 1) or the keys on the
session tab can be used to eject or insert the sample tray and the Run key to
execute the analysis.
5.2
Inserting and removing the Cassette
To insert the Cassette:
1. Eject the sample tray.
2. Hold the Cassette on the wide part of the cylinder .
3. Place the Cassette onto the sample tray.
4. Insert the sample tray and/or Run
3
the analysis.
After analysis the Cassette is removed from the sample tray and disposed of as
biological waste according to national or regional laws or regulations regarding the
nature of the mixture it contains.

The Run operation will always insert the sample tray.
