Connecting an Unbalanced Source
Unbalanced audio sources such as CD players, computer audio outputs, etc.,
can be connected to the AV‑M8 audio inputs. Connections can use single‑
conductor or two‑conductor shielded cable.
To connect an unbalanced line‑level device to the input channels of the
AV‑M8 using single‑conductor shielded cable:
Strip the insulating jacket of the cable back about .75 inch

(18 mm) to reveal the individual hot and ground wires
within.
Remove a small amount of each individual wire’s insulation

(approximately .25 inch, 6 mm).
Apply a small amount of solder to each bare wire.

On the Euroblock plug, use a small screwdriver to loosen

and open the sockets that will receive the individual wires.
Insert the audio cable’s hot (+) wire into the matching

socket on the Euroblock plug.
Insert the audio cable’s ground wire into the matching
6.
socket on the Euroblock plug.
Tighten the screws on the wire sockets to secure the

individual wires.
Plug the completed
8.
Euroblock plug into the desired input
channel. (Note that the (‑) socket on the Euroblock plug is
not used.)
