Before You Fly with AV8OR 3D
Tablet PC
Your new Samsung Tablet PC
is a standard personal computer that
runs Microsoft Windows® XP, Tablet PC
Edition. You can use the Tablet PC most
anywhere, such as at home, in the cockpit, or at
the office. It is important to become familiar with
both the Samsung Tablet PC and the AV8OR 3D
System before flight.
If you have not used a Tablet PC before, take
some time to become comfortable with the
Samsung. There is keyboard, although a virtual
keyboard appears on the screen when needed.
The screen accepts stylus input, or an optional
mouse or trackball can be attached by USB. You
can also attach a standard USB keyboard.
Settings, including stylus sensitivity and double
tap, can be adjusted from within the PC
Because the Samsung is portable, you can
familiarize yourself with it in the comfort of your
home, office, or nearest pilot's lounge. You do
not need the INU for this. AV8OR 3D includes a
Simulator Mode that allows you to “fly” and
become familiar with the operation of AV8OR 3D
without an aircraft or the INU. Before use, check and set the PC system time, if
necessary. Set the time zone to your local zone
using the normal Windows XP controls.
Installing the Samsung Tablet PC in the Mount
To install the Samsung Tablet PC in the mount:
1. Place the mount so that the flat mounting area is facing you, with the curved clip on the left.
2. Insert the right side of the Samsung into the right side of the mount and press the Samsung completely into
the mount.
