5. Function setting for extended battery run time
The battery run time can be extended by changing the function settings.

When no outputs are to be made, we recommend that the interface function be set to

6. 1.F.O.” Setting the interface function to “6. 1.F.O.” deactivates the circuitry for
outputs, reducing battery consumption.
[Auto power off]
The balance automatically turns off when the balance is stable for about 5 minutes.
The balance automatically turns off when you forget to turn it off, extending the
battery life.
[Auto backlight off]
The backlight automatically turns off when the balance is stable for about 3 minutes.
When any key is pressed or any change in weight is detected, the backlight turns on.
This function is enabled when “
o.. b..L..1” is selected.
