Note: Porportional tare is the weight of an item that is the
packaging as measured by a percentage amount.

Example: The wrapper on a piece of candy is 2.5 percent
of the total weight. By using portional tare, any
amount of candy can be accurately weighed on
the scale by subtracting the wrapper weight as a
percentage of the total weight.
