Description
This test checks that the IPMB-0 is accessible from the IPMC.
Failure impact
•
IPMC-00050001 diagnostic code results of failure to access the IPMC through the
KCS interface. The impact is loss of applications running on carrier host processor.
This impacts at least Ethernet functionality and command line interface.
• IPMC-00050004 results from failure to access IPMB-0 bus. Impact is loss of com-
munication with shelf manager.

Sequence of operations

Read the Geographical Address for the IPMC with the Get Address Info command.
• Check the value returned with the current slot is valid

KCS interface. The impact is loss of applications running on carrier host processor.
This impacts at least Ethernet functionality and command line interface.
• IPMC-00050005 results from failure to read the GA address. Impact is loss of
communication with shelf manager.
