Shooting Portraits
Use this mode when you want
to lessen the impact of the
background and highlight the
subject.
The camera automatically
zooms in to frame the upper
part of the subject's body and
fires the flash for every shot to
produce highlights in the
subject's eyes.
Turn the dial to 'ill.
• Position the AF frame over your
subject and take the picture.
• Follow the steps in QD© 20)
to take a picture.

In order for the red-eye reduction function 26) to
operate, there is a 1-second delay before the picture
can be taken. Keep the shutter button held down until
you hear the sound of the film winding on.
In automatic zooming, the upper part of the subject's
body is framed at distances of 1.0 fo 2.6 m/3.3 to 8.5 ft
from the subject You can also adjust the zoom setting
after automatic zooming is finished. 19)
