Focusing Point Selection

Press the shutter button halfway.
• The camera will return to normal.
• Even if the shutter button is not
pressed halfway, the focusing point
selection mode will terminate after
about 6 sec.
If the focusing point has been selected manually and the Command Dial is
turned to Full Auto or a Programmed Image Control mode, the focusing point
seiection wiil switch to automatic.
Focusing Subjects not Covered by the Focusing Points i
If you want to focus a subject not covered by any of the focusing points,
use AF lock as described below.

Select the desired focusing point.

Aim the focusing point on the
subject, then press the shutter
button halfway to focus.
Keep pressing the shutter button
haifway and recompose the
picture as desired.
