Checking the Exposure Indicator
When pressing the shutter release lever one step,
the light meter circuit is turned on and the ex
posure indication window in the viewfinder will
light. If there is no red mark in the indication win
dow you have the correct exposure. In that case,
press the shutter release lever one step further.
The number in the window shows which aper
ture is set. Read this number by looking at the in
dex in the exposure indication window.
*
In dim light, obtaining the correct exposure
may take a little more time.
Shooting
After confirming the exposure, release the shut
ter. Avoid pulling it in one quick jerk or the begin
ning of the film may be incorrectly exposed.
* Please release the shutter smoothly.
Over/Under Exposure Warning
If the red mark is indicated in the exposure
indication window the exposure must be cor
rected. If f/45 is indicated next to the red mark,
you
have
overexposure.
When
this
happens,
set the shutter opening angle at the ■JoJ-setting.
If the red indication still does not go out, attach
an ND filter to the lens.
* We recommend the Canon Filter ND 4 or ND 8
