Rip fence does not move smoothly.

1. Rip fence is not mounted cor

rectly.

2. Rails are dirty or sticky.

1. Remove and reposition the rip

fence. See Aligning Rip Fence

2. Clean and wax the rails.

Wood edges away from rip fence
when ripping.
