Troubleshooting
Should any problem persist after you have made these checks, consult your nearest authorized
Sony dealer.
Symptom Remedy
You cannot make or receive calls.
You hear no dial tone. • Place the base unit away from noise sources.
• Move the handset closer to the base unit.
• Make sure you set up the base unit correctly.
• Make sure the battery is fully charged.
The phone does not connect at all,
even the number you dial is correct. • Make sure the dialing mode setting (pulse or tone) is
correct.
The phone does not redial correctly. • Make sure the last dialed number is really the one you
want to dial.
You hear five short error beeps when
you try to redial.
• The number you last dialed exceeds .22 digits (including
the tone and pause digits if used).
• The number you last dialed is erased.
You cannot store a speed dial number. • Make sure the number (including the tone and pause
digits) does not exceed 20 digits.
T h e h a n d s e l d o c s n o t r i n g . • Set the RING switch to ON.
You hear interference during
conversation.
• Move the handset closer to the ba.se unit.
• Place the base unit away from noise sources.
You hear a beep everv second during
conversation.
• It is an out-of-range alarm. Move the handset closer to
the base unit within one minute.
You hear a beep twice per second and
the БАТТ LOW lamp flashes.
• The batter)' is weak. Charge the battery for more than 12
hours.
The handset does not work. • The battery may be u eak. Charge the battery for more
than 12 hours.
