Labeling a CD
— Disc Memo
You can label each disc using up to 11
characters. When you select a CD-TEXT disc,
the first 11 characters of the disc title are
stored as a disc memo. Whenever you load
the labeled CD, the label (Disc Memo)
appears in the display.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
"CD" appears.

Turn the jog dial until the disc
number to which you want to label
appears.
When you label a disc with the front
cover closed, the disc number of the disc
at the playing position appears.
When you label a disc with the front
cover open, the disc number at the
loading position appears.

Press INPUT.
"DISC MEMO" flashes in the display.
To label a group (1 -5) instead of the
current disc, turn the jog dial to display
the corresponding group number.

Press ENTER.

Turn the jog dial until the desired
character appears.
The cursor disappears and the first space
for the disc title flashes.
To select characters on the unit
Turn the jog dial to the left or right.
To select characters on the remote
Press ♦ or ♦ until the desired type of
character appears, then press * or ♦ to
select the desired character.

Press ► ► / (or on the
remote) to enter the character.
The cursor shifts to the right and waits
for input of the next character.

Repeat steps 5 and 6 to input more
characters.
If you make a mistake
Press
or ► ► /► ► ) to move the
cursor to the position you want to
correct, then use the jog dial to select the
appropriate character or press DELETE
to remove the character.
